The Importance of Stem Cell Science

Without exaggeration, the science of stem cells regenerative medicine is the most important science of our time. Some experts say that it is at least as important as the Internet. As part of our new approach to information on this website, we are going to post a daily performance summary of most of the stem cell companies that are publicly traded.

Here is the list as well as the exchanges the stocks trade on and the type of business that is the primary focus of each company.

In time, you will find, via the MARKETS tab, the links to the company profiles, stock charts, and, for US registered securities, the SEC filings including the Management Discussion & Analysis.

The plain truth is that many of these companies will end up as business failures. Before they crash, those that are doomed will flood the market with hyped news releases and magazine articles that indicate a glowing future. Caveat Emptor. Do not overlook the SEC filings!

Since I have associates who can provide me a research capability that will be more objective than what I expect to obtain from the companies themselves, I will write blogs, infrequently but where I think I might be helpful. Hopefully we can develop a dialog here about this important subject.

A friend of mine whom is well known to investors who are interested in Goldminers is Rob McEwen, a philanthropist who has donated tens of millions to the advancement of stem cell science. The McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine at Toronto General Hospital is a part of his legacy.

This is important to me and, I hope, to you.

Enjoy your weekend.
