A Request of Paid Subscribers

May 22, 2026

To our American subscribers, Happy Memorial Day Weekend. I understand that one in every eight Americans will be traveling this weekend. Safe travels!

I want everybody to know that the revised billcara.com is rapidly taking shape, and a preliminary beta will be released within a few days to paid subscribers. The public launch, also in beta, is slated for June 1. As we make this transition, Alexei and I genuinely welcome your recommendations and queries about what you would like to see going forward — and we are equally keen to hear about any bugs you encounter so we can address them quickly.

The new system is built on a sophisticated database that organizes and presents information in four ways. First, it reports the facts on roughly 2,200 instruments trading across about 30 exchanges worldwide, organized into 88 discrete files covering macros, market indexes, the stocks in the Dow indexes, top-quality North American, European and Asian companies, the eleven GICS sectors, select industry ETFs, stocks grouped by theme, and stocks traded on domestic international markets in Canada and Latin America, Europe and Asia. Second, it outlines the trading anomalies that reflect potential trend and cycle reversals in individual stocks or stock groups. Third, it provides general guidance for responding to global market price motion and the trading of instruments across these markets. And fourth, it allocates capital across various portfolio slices as a working demonstration of effective institutional investing and portfolio management.

The reports will be generated as follows. The Navigator, with an INSTAT report addendum, will be published daily for paid subscribers, with a weekly truncated version for free subscribers. A Mid-Day Market Brief will appear daily, pointing to the trading anomalies in global markets through noon ET and including the end-of-day results from Europe and Asia. The Playbook will be published daily. And the Portfolio reports will be published daily across all portfolios.

Alongside these reports, I will also be writing articles — including excerpts from the books I am once again actively writing, now that I am no longer spending my days on IT administration.

A note on how this works across platforms. Substack paid subscribers will continue to receive the portfolio report. Substack free subscribers will receive the Friday Navigator report plus the articles I publish. Everything I publish on Substack will also be accessible, at various tiers, to subscribers at billcara.com. Pricing is tiered, but heavily discounted for those who subscribe across all access levels.

This change matters for a simple reason. By putting the right information-technology resources in place, I am able to completely reverse my work balance — from roughly 95% administration and 5% management to 5% administration and 95% management. That frees me to focus entirely on providing a service that best meets your needs as subscribers.

Which brings me to the request. We have reached the point where I want to hear directly from you. You can email me your recommendations at billcara@billcara.com, or raise them in The Forum, a new feature at billcara.com where subscribers can voice their interests and concerns, respond to my articles and reports, and respond to one another’s comments.

The recommendations I most anticipate are these: the inclusion of specific instruments you trade that I would need to add to the database; the inclusion of additional international stock exchanges, or greater emphasis on the exchanges you actively trade; the expansion of the portfolio slices to include particular countries, sectors, industries or thematic groups; and a query function built on keyword searches of my full library of reports, articles and books, dating back as far as April 2004.

Alexei and I commit to fulfilling any reasonable request from a paid subscriber — but the request must come to us directly, either by email or through The Forum.

I look forward to hearing from you.

/Bill
